D[AI]NGEN DESKTOP
AI-specific access at the Windows endpoint.
AVAILABLE NOW · PACKAGED RELEASE · TECHNICAL MATURITY: PREVIEW
D[AI]NGEN Desktop is a functioning, validated Windows endpoint Preview moving through productization. It includes administrator-controlled AI application/model availability within supported governed Desktop workflows. The user keeps normal Windows access; each AI application receives only its own approved scope.
AVAILABILITY
Packaged release available now. Technical maturity: Preview.
D[AI]NGEN Desktop is a functioning Windows product with a packaged release launched on October 21, 2026. It is available for qualified deployments with guided installation. Its current technical maturity remains Preview. The validated environment includes AI-specific Workspace access, protected-session behavior, endpoint enforcement, recovery/readiness checks, and the first central-management control path.
The packaged release launched on October 21, 2026. This launch does not imply self-service distribution, universal Windows coverage, or fleet-scale production readiness.

WHY DESKTOP MATTERS
AI does not stop at the browser.
AI workflows increasingly extend into local applications, desktop agents, and endpoint resources.
The authorization problem remains the same: the user may have broad access, while the AI workflow should receive only an explicitly approved scope.
D[AI]NGEN Desktop is being developed around that boundary. This is product direction, not a claim of specific implementation mechanisms.
CURRENT MATURITY
A functioning Windows Preview moving into productization.
D[AI]NGEN Desktop has validated its core Windows access-boundary model in the current evaluation environment.
The Preview includes protected AI application sessions, explicit authorized Workspace access, endpoint enforcement, recovery/readiness validation, and the first central-management control path.
The current product includes administrator-controlled AI application/model availability within supported governed Desktop workflows. It does not claim control over every model on every machine.
The next productization step is making packaging, deployment reproducibility, guided onboarding, hardening, and enterprise pilot readiness repeatable.
The packaged Desktop release is available for qualified deployments with guided installation. Its technical maturity remains Preview, and it is not presented as universally production-ready or fleet-scale.

Alpha RC validation
The current Alpha RC validation has been completed in the evaluated product environment.
Alpha RC validation is scoped to the evaluated build and does not establish general availability, production readiness, installer availability, or fleet-scale deployment.

CONCEPTUAL MODEL
Same boundary, new surface
The Desktop Preview model introduces an authorized Workspace between the user filesystem and the Desktop AI workflow.
The diagram describes product direction and should not be interpreted as a guarantee of specific isolation, sandboxing, identity, or enforcement mechanisms.
PACKAGED RELEASE
What the packaged release means.
The D[AI]NGEN Desktop packaged release is available now for qualified deployments with guided installation, on request.
Deployment remains guided by D[AI]NGEN in a qualified environment and applies the behavior validated at the current Preview maturity.
The packaged release does not imply self-service distribution, universal Windows compatibility, fleet-scale managed deployment, or production readiness across every enterprise environment.
WINDOWS PREVIEW
A functioning Preview, not just a roadmap.
Desktop has moved beyond a concept into a validated Preview workflow. The evidence still applies to a bounded alpha scope, not to general availability.
The following behaviors are public because they were validated in the current Preview context. Broader Desktop capability categories remain under verification.
VALIDATED · LIMITED SCOPE
AI application/model availability control
Within supported governed workflows, administrator-controlled policy can define which AI application or model may be used by an employee or endpoint.
Scoped to supported governed Browser/Desktop workflows. It does not claim control over every AI application, model, provider, or unmanaged environment.
VALIDATED · LIMITED SCOPE
Time-limited Workspace grants
The Desktop Preview can make selected local resources available through an authorized Workspace rather than treating the user’s full filesystem access as AI access.
Validated in a Windows alpha environment for selected resources. This does not imply general endpoint isolation, universal filesystem support, or production readiness.
VALIDATED · LIMITED SCOPE
Workspace lifecycle controls
Workspace resources can be added, removed, extended, expired, and stopped in the evaluated Preview workflow.
Validated for the alpha Workspace lifecycle. Documented limits remain, including some cross-volume and open-file-handle constraints.
VALIDATED · LIMITED SCOPE
Verified Workspace cleanup
The evaluated Desktop Preview workflow verifies cleanup after a Workspace session is stopped.
Specific to the validated Workspace lifecycle. This does not create a universal endpoint-isolation or forensic guarantee.
VALIDATED · LIMITED SCOPE
Protected-session verification
The Windows Desktop Preview verifies a protected-session state before reporting an AI workflow as protected.
Validated for the current Windows Preview evaluation. This does not make Desktop generally available or establish production deployment readiness.
VALIDATED · LIMITED SCOPE
Restart recovery
The validated Windows Preview recovers endpoint protection components and product state after Windows restart.
Specific to the validated Windows Preview environment. It is not a general resilience, compatibility, or enterprise-management claim.
VALIDATED · LIMITED SCOPE
Readiness and recovery checks
Browser and Desktop readiness, reset, restart, reboot, and protected-session checks have been exercised in the current evaluation environment.
This is scoped reliability evidence for the evaluated environments only. It does not establish enterprise-wide reliability, managed deployment support, or universal compatibility.
AVAILABLE NOW
Packaged release
The packaged Desktop release is available for qualified deployments with guided installation. Preview evidence does not imply universal production readiness or fleet-scale deployment.
WHAT THE PACKAGED RELEASE DOES NOT PROVE
The packaged release should be read carefully.
A packaged-release deployment or a Preview demonstration should not be interpreted as proof of:
- general availability;
- production readiness;
- universal compatibility;
- every architecture concept discussed internally;
- any unpublished security guarantee.
PATH TO GENERAL AVAILABILITY
Preview remains Preview until validation is complete.
Desktop technical maturity will remain clearly marked as Preview until the product state is explicitly changed after validation and founder approval.
The packaged release launched on October 21, 2026. Technical Preview maturity and guided deployment scope remain explicit.
The packaged release has launched; the next productization focus is deployment reproducibility, guided onboarding, hardening, and enterprise pilot readiness.
Published launch documentation will reflect the validated production build.
