V1 · Developed, pending validation
Our objective is to help prevent accidental disclosure of private information and sensitive uploads, using pre-submission protections where supported.
Existing technology · Family verification required
Our roadmap includes detecting potentially concerning interactions, including dangerous requests, bullying, self-harm concerns and inappropriate content.
Planned capability
Our goal is to flag meaningful safety and security events without requiring parents to review every conversation.
Planned capability
We aim to assess risks locally where possible, and minimize information shared with parents and cloud services.
Design objective
A real-world example
A traditional parental control may allow the site because it is within the permitted schedule. Our longer-term vision is to identify a sensitive upload before transmission, interrupt it where supported, explain the risk to the child and alert a parent without exposing the document.
Illustrative future workflow — sensitive-file detection and parental alerting are not validated end-to-end for Family.

An event may need your attention, without displaying private chat content.

Built for parents, designed for children
Parents should be able to manage supported AI services from a simple web dashboard on a computer or smartphone. Children deserve clear rules, proportionate alerts and space to explore. The goal is not to monitor every word they type, but to help families respond when meaningful risks arise.

01
Supported AI website access controls, parent-managed permissions and schedules, temporary access grants and the parental web dashboard.
02
Pre-submission controls, DLP mechanisms and sensitive-file interception require integration and testing for Family.
03
Child-specific semantic risk detection, intelligent parent alerts, age-appropriate policies and graduated safety interventions.
Initially targeted browser services: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Google AI Mode on supported surfaces only. Chrome/Edge and Windows physical validation is not complete. No universal coverage, bypass-proof enforcement or guaranteed child safety is claimed; desktop AI installation is not blocked.
